The principle of operation of a hydraulic wedge

A waterstop is a special waterproofing gasket in the form of an elastic PVC or TPE tape with ribs. Thanks to these ribs, water cannot pass through the seam unhindered: the path of moisture movement is significantly extended, which ensures reliable sealing.

Installing a hydraulic wedge is simple and convenient:

  • the key easily joins together;

  • no special equipment is required for installation - a construction hair dryer for welding joints and binding wire for attaching to the reinforcing frame are enough;

  • All the necessary tools are usually available at every construction site.

Using a hydro-joint allows you to reduce the work time of builders and, accordingly, reduce labor costs. In addition, the cost of the material itself is quite affordable - the price of a hydro-joint starts from 50 UAH/m, which makes it an economical solution compared to other sealing methods.

Where is a hydraulic wedge used?

Using a hydraulic wedge you can do:

  • sealing of cold joints;

  • sealing of construction seams;

  • sealing of expansion joints.

It is ideal for protection against leaks in foundations, floor slabs and other structural elements. Its use is especially relevant in the following facilities:
