KAV tapes are successfully used at sewage treatment plants, swimming pools, reservoirs, foundations of residential buildings, etc.
KAV tapes effectively seal construction seams that are under hydrostatic pressure up to 0.2 MPa, below the level of groundwater with a variable level, for example, in basements or tunnels.
The tape is not sensitive to water contamination - alkaline and acidic.

STORAGE/TRANSPORT

Sealing tapes should be transported on pallets to protect them from adverse weather conditions and to protect them from mechanical damage.
The tape should be stored in its original packaging on a flat surface. Protect from direct sunlight.

• When installing the key before pouring the concrete of the KAV foundation slab, the key is installed directly on the reinforcing bars and fixed with clips with an interval of 0.5 m between the clips.
• In the case of installing the dowel during or immediately after pouring the KAV concrete, the dowel must only be inserted into the freshly laid concrete, after which the concrete mixture can be compacted by vibration in the usual way.
• The marking strip, located at a height of 3.0 cm from the edge of the key, serves as a control of the installation depth.
• The maximum depth of immersion in the concrete of the lower part of the key with an expanding profile is 4.0 cm.
• Keys can be connected to each other in two different ways:
• Butt thermal welding of pins is carried out with the help of a welding ax (the expanding cord is removed and inserted back only after welding).
• Parallel installation of dowels overlapping at a length of approximately 50 cm and at a distance of 5 cm from each other (in the presence of water pressure, preference should be given to welding dowels).
• Cross and T-shaped joints of the keys are also produced by the method of thermal welding with the help of a welding ax or a construction hair dryer.

How to connect the key to each other?

Keys can be connected to each other in two different ways:
* Butt thermal welding of pins is carried out with the help of a welding ax (the expanded cord is removed and inserted back only after welding).
* Parallel installation of dowels overlapping at a length of approximately 50 cm and at a distance of 5 cm from each other (in the presence of water pressure, preference should be given to welding dowels).
* Cross and T-shaped joints of keys are also produced by the method of heat welding with the help of a welding ax or a construction hair dryer.
