The Profflex B sealant is a one-component sealant with high vapor permeability on an acrylic base. The sealant is designed to seal the inner contour of window, door and balcony structures, with an allowable deformation of the mounting seam of no more than 15%.

Scope of application:

  • Sealing of plastic, aluminum and wooden frames
  • Sealing of door frames and window openings

Consistency - Thixotropic paste
The base is Polyacrylate
Solidification - Evaporation of water
Vapor permeability resistance, (m2·h·Pa)/mg, - no more than 0,23
The formation time of the surface film, g. - 1 hour (at 23 ° C and normal humidity)
Curing time at a layer thickness of 3 mm. - 48 hours (at 23 ° C and normal humidity)*
Density, not less than kg/m - 31608 kg/m3
The recommended application temperature range is from 5 °C to 35 °, (the minimum ambient temperature during application is up to -20 °C and relative humidity is not more than 90%). The minimum temperature of the product for application is 13 °C
Operating temperature range - From – 400C to 800C
Adhesive strength, MPa, not less:
- PVC - 0.22
- tree - 0.43
- metal - 0.24
- concrete - 0.65
Water resistance at a pressure of 600 Pa, hours, - at least 24 hours
Yield strength, mm by 2 mm thickness, - no more than 0
The limit of adhesion strength, MPa, is not less than 1.0
Resistance to deformation, %, - not less than 15
Elongation at the moment of rupture % - not less than 364%
Color - white
Stability during freezing/defrosting - 10 cycles
The projected service life of conditional years is at least 20
* With a decrease in temperature or an increase in humidity, the time increases

The sealant is completely ready for use.
We also recommend using Profflex A acrylate sealant for the outer mounting layer.
At low temperatures, the viscosity of the sealant increases, therefore, before use, we recommend keeping the sealant in a heated room for at least a day. The recommended temperature of the sealant for application is 5 °C to 35 °C (minimum to -13 °C).
Preparation:

  • The sealant is completely ready for use. Before use, the surface should be degreased, cleaned of dirt, dust, loose particles. The edges and surfaces of openings should not have chips, sinks, concrete mortar flows and other damages with a height (depth) of more than 10 mm. Defective places should be plastered with waterproof mixtures. Loose, crumbling areas of the opening surfaces should be reinforced (treated with astringent mixtures or special film materials. It is possible to apply the sealant on a dry and wet surface. The presence of droplet moisture on the surface is unacceptable. When working in winter, clean the surface from snow, ice, etc.). It is unacceptable to apply sealant during precipitation (rain and snow).
  • The sealant is applied to the prepared surface with a spatula or paint brush.
  • The recommended thickness of the application layer is from 3.5 to 5.5 mm.
  • The ambient temperature when applying the sealant is from -20 ° C to 35 ° C and the relative humidity is not more than 90%.
  • When laying the sealant, it is recommended to protect the front edges of the structures with masking tape in order to prevent their contamination.
  • The masking tape must be removed before the formation of a surface film on the sealant.
  • Completion and cleaning of the tool, the fresh sealant is washed off with warm water.
  • The polymerized sealant is removed mechanically.
