Apparatus for welding PVC hydro-dowels (Soldering iron-knife, welding hatchet)

The welding axe, or soldering iron-knife, is designed for high-quality and hermetic joining of PVC hydro-dowels during the installation of waterproofing systems. Thanks to uniform heating and ergonomic design, it ensures durability and strength of joints , which is critically important for the reliable operation of concrete structures in humid environments.

Application of welding hatchet:

• Butt welding – used to connect the ends of hydraulic joints in a straight seam.

• Making nodes and adjacencies – allows you to easily create complex elements: corners, branches, and changes in seam direction.

• Heat treatment – heats the PVC material to the melting point, after which the ends of the key are securely connected into a single structure.

Welding technology:

1. Preparation – cleaning and degreasing the surface of the hydraulic key.

2. Heating – the hatchet is heated to operating temperature (150–180 °C).

3. Welding – the heated edges of the hydraulic key are pressed against the working surface of the hatchet and connected.

4. Cooling – after cooling, a hermetic and durable seam is formed.
