Complex repair of concrete and sealing of expansion joints with Hydroflex 21: "3 in 1" epoxy glue, repair mixture and chemical anchor
Hydroflex 21 two-component epoxy mixture is a universal 2-component premium material that, thanks to its performance characteristics, effectively copes with a wide range of construction tasks.
1. Sealing expansion joints
Comprehensive solution: The material serves as a special adhesive for fixing highly elastic tapes, such as Hydroflex 300 tape, creating a reliable waterproofing barrier for expansion joints and large cracks in concrete.
2. As a chemical anchor (super strong fixation)
Thanks to its epoxy base, Hydroflex 21 is used as a chemical anchor for rigidly fastening metal elements, reinforcement bars, bolts and mounting heavy equipment (e.g. cranes) directly to a concrete or brick base.
3. Concrete repair
Thanks to its unique solvent-free formula, Hydroflex 21 is able to restore the original solidity of concrete and protect it from further destruction. It is suitable for filling and bonding cracks (both deep structural and superficial shrinkage cracks) and repairing chips and potholes (at the corners of columns, beams, staircases and bridge piers). It is also suitable for connecting "old" and "new" concrete.

- Adhesion that exceeds the strength of concrete: The mixture literally “bites” into the base. When attempting to break, the failure usually occurs along the concrete itself, not along the bonding line.
- Working on Wet Surfaces: Unlike most standard epoxies, Hydroflex 21 can be applied to damp (but not wet) concrete substrates, which is critical for basements, tunnels and exterior work.
- Zero shrinkage: The material does not shrink during polymerization, which prevents internal stresses and re-cracking.
- High mechanical strength: The hardened mixture withstands extreme compressive and bending loads, surpassing high-strength concrete grades in these indicators.
- Barrier to moisture and chemicals: The composition completely blocks the access of water, salts, petroleum products and alkalis to the internal structure of concrete, protecting the reinforcement from corrosion.
Disadvantages (specificities in work):
- Fast polymerization: After thoroughly mixing components A and B, the craftsman has only about 30 minutes (at a standard temperature of +20°C) to fully apply the composition.
- Limited range of application: Work can only be carried out at ambient and substrate temperatures between +5°C and +30°C.
