The most popular and most common type of retainers is the retainer for the "asterisk" fittings. These rebar holders are used for pouring vertical surfaces - walls, crossbars, pillars, columns, but with the help of such a retainer, other vertical objects can be erected.

For the reliability of the design, from 4 to 10 clamps per square meter are used. The exact amount depends on the thickness of the reinforcement – the smaller the diameter, the more reinforcing bars and, accordingly, more retainers. The "asterisk" clamps are designed for fittings with a diameter of 6-16 millimeters.

An unusual lock securely secures the retainer on the reinforcing bar, due to which the "asterisk" retainer can be used only for one thickness of the protective layer of concrete, but protects the reinforcement from displacement and touching the formwork, creating a protective layer of 25.30, 35, 40, 50 mm.
