Why do we need retainers for fittings?

Concrete reinforcement is one of the most important stages in the process of manufacturing concrete structures. To ensure greater structural strength, rebar retainers are used, installed before pouring concrete on or under the rebar. The clamps allow you to place the reinforcement at the right distance from the base and the walls of the formwork.

Rebar retainers or rebar stands are plastic embedded consumables for fixing and holding the position of steel rebar in the concrete body. The retainers for the reinforcement remain in the concrete, so they do not have multiple reuse except for the "cone" retainer.

What are the main properties of retainers for fittings?

With the observance of important rules and norms of concreting, the strength and duration of use increases and the safety of construction increases. Retainers for reinforcement greatly simplify the concreting process, maintain a uniform position of the reinforcement frame, create a protective layer, provide the necessary thickness of the protective layer, have anticorrosive properties, prevent the ends of the reinforcement from reaching the surface, increase the strength of the structures being erected.

What are the fasteners for fittings made of?

The material for the manufacture of fixers is secondary raw materials. We care about the environment and protect nature for future generations. Recycled plastic remains strong in future use. After all, they require the same quality from it as from ordinary plastic. It is not subject to corrosion and easily takes any shape, is not afraid of temperature changes, leaves resistance to high and low temperatures, does not deform.

Retainers for reinforcement are consumables for the installation of a reinforcement frame for concrete, therefore they have a relatively low price.

How to calculate the number of retainers?

The clamps are designed for fittings with a diameter of 8-16 millimeters. Typically, 5 to 10 fasteners per square meter are used. For reliable fixing of fittings, it is recommended to use from 5 to 10 fasteners per square meter. The smaller the diameter of the armature, the more retainers are used.

What are the requirements for warehouse storage?

The fixers produced by the company "Protek-S" do not require special storage. Depending on the type, they are packed in transparent plastic bags of 100, 200, 250, 500 pieces (ask the manager). It can be stored in a dry, clean warehouse, but avoid direct sunlight (ultraviolet).

What types of fixators exist?

The type and shape of the clamps are determined by their purpose and the location of the reinforcement in a monolithic structure.

The "asterisk" retainer is used in the reinforcement of vertical concrete structures – columns, pillars, walls and protects the reinforcement from displacement and touching of the formwork.

Moreover, it should be taken into account that the "rack" fixators are used on a rigid basis, and the "flooring" fixators when installing concrete filler floors on crushed stone and non–solid or loose surfaces - sand, polystyrene, cotton wool.

These clamps prevent concrete from getting inside the tube, which is tightly adjacent to the formwork surface. The "cone" retainer is used with a perforated PVC pipe d-25 and a pipe p / e d-25. The use of "cone" clamps prevents damage to the coupling screw when dismantling the formwork. The main advantage of the "cone" retainer is its reuse in the further device of the formwork.

a fiber-reinforced concrete retainer with the addition of short polypropylene fiber fibers is used when installing vertical and horizontal fittings to create a protective layer with a height of 35,40,50 mm. These fixers are indispensable for the construction of dams, dams, hydroelectric power plants, canals, reservoirs and other hydraulic structures, subway tunnels and railway tracks. They have perfect adhesion with concrete, because they have the same structure.
