The most popular materials for waterproofing

Modern manufacturers produce many types of products that isolate seams from moisture and seal them.
We will tell you about the materials included in the top, due to their reliability.

These tools perfectly seal the seams from water in multicomponent structures made of concrete and reinforced concrete. Experts note the resistance of the membrane and glue to ultraviolet radiation and the possibility of mounting them on wet surfaces.
The scope of use of the corresponding system includes high-rise construction facilities.
The relevance of these products is due to their ability to withstand a significant temperature range (-40 to 110 ° C) and water pressure, as well as chemical resistance and long service life.
The use of a membrane and glue compatible with bitumen does not require additional mechanical fixation at the edges.
The ProElast membrane has proven itself to have excellent waterproofing properties. It completely blocks water, and in cases of unforeseen deformations it is able to stretch.
InnoElast adhesive sealant is available in two versions. Their basic characteristics, allowing to compare Type 1 andType 2 of the corresponding building material are shown in the table.

  • Hydroflex membrane system. The product is treated with deformation seams and cracks for the purpose of waterproofing. Such a membrane is used at various construction sites. These include basements, tunnels and other underground structures, swimming pools and hydraulic structures.

The advantages of the system are resistance to the effects of plant roots and suitability for use in rooms with aggressive, chemically active reagents.

  • Hydroflex 21.. Glue is a material created on the basis of epoxy resins, which has been widely used. They strengthen reinforcement outlets and bolts, with the help of this heavy-duty glue, cranes and other guiding special equipment are mounted to the base.

The advantages of Hydroflex 21 epoxy glue are high adhesion, the possibility of application to wet surfaces and the absence of solvents in the composition (the formulation of the product includes only epoxy resin and epoxy hardener).

  • KLM profile. They seal up seams at industrial production facilities. The tool helps to ensure tightness of joints between concrete slabs and panels, between the walls of buildings constructed of different materials, and on their facades.

The key working properties of the profile are the ability to easily shrink and stretch. The results of the corresponding features are compensation for changes in the width of the seams.
Often the KLM profile and InnoElast adhesive sealant are used simultaneously - this combination provides ease of installation and allows you to do without mastic.
You can also include a sealing harness "Christmas Tree" in this list. Such harnesses are installed in fresh cement-concrete mortars until these mixtures dry out. This material is also used to seal the seams of a rigid screed. Being resistant to chemicals and flexible, this tool allows you to shorten the duration of installation work.
